"First one needs to be re-centred on God. The other things will follow." Father Chris, you just have a way of putting things in perspective! Bravo!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24383995.post-55261402302902521352012-02-22T09:39:31.891+08:002012-02-22T09:39:31.891+08:00Spiritual contortion is perhaps more painful than ...Spiritual contortion is perhaps more painful than the physical variety. For the latter we can resort to balms to soothe with temporary relief. Dislocation within, unseen and unknown, demand the most, mainly because it is hidden. The challenge therefore requires a supranatural act of the will, constantly focussed, centred on an unshaken belief. It must touch the core of our being to be truly a disciple of the Lord. Distort in order to dislodge.
Our Parish priest often reminded us that the sin of commission is often recognized and confessed to atone. It is the sin of omission (with limitation) that paralyzes us from the core, albeit with insightful negligence. A friend of mine is dying of cancer soon and is a grim reminder that despite our best intention, the only venue left is to trust in God’s providence. There are no quick answers for this affliction and a cure is out of the question.
Often we are confronted with issues that are beyond our understanding. Faith cannot be transmitted to the aggrieved so it is left to us to pray for ourselves and the world. We can only flap our wings and continue to bring our gifts unknown, unbeckoned, as a humble servantAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24383995.post-75919730108108921252012-02-20T23:00:04.867+08:002012-02-20T23:00:04.867+08:00I, the Lord of sea and sky
